It'd be so awesome if I could gift my friends TLDs I've won for them. Perhaps I could send it to their email and they claim the name once they sign up on Namebase. Maybe even with a little bit of HNS in their account already? This would definitely help grow the community!

Excellent idea. I regularly tell friends to get into Handshake TLD's
They are often not fully equipped and may not be into crypto and BTC to fund.
Having USD and other fiat on-ramps to get hns will make it easier for some.
I was just going to help sort a/c's for them and gift TLD's
[names, dates birthdays, localised and personalised name stuff is perfect.
It can be a worldwide point of contact for you..for life.
and it is cheap as chips!

I could definitely use this capability. Binding the gift to ownership of an existing domain would also be a good option to have, particularly for e.g. open source projects that don't have maintainer contact info readily discoverable. Ownership/control of a github repo would also be a nice method to use, also for donating to open source projects in particular.
